The Management of NNPC recently announced the appointment of Engr. Kenneth Ejuoneatse as the Managing Director of NETCO. He thus becomes the 8th Managing Director of this NNPC subsidiary which was established in February 1989.
Engr. Ejuoneatse attended James Welch Grammar School, Emevor via Ughelli, Delta State between 1965 and 1969 before proceeding to University of Benin in 1970. He is a 1975 graduate of Mechanical Engineering.
The new NETCO Managing Director started his career as a pupil engineer with Benue / Plateau State Government during his National Youth Service Corp and at the end of the service year; he was employed at the then Warri Refinery project in October 1976.
He received intensive technical training services with Snamprogetti (ENI) Milan and IROM Refinery at Mistre Venice, Italy. On his return he worked as maintenance engineer at Warri Refinery.
In September 1981, Engr. Ejuoneatse was part of the Owners project Team at Engineering Contractor, Lummus Combustion Engineering, Home Office in the United States of America and United Kingdom for the NNPC Petrochemicals Phase 1 project. Between October 1985 and March 1988, he returned to Nigeria during the construction of Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) and Benzene plants Phase 1 Petrochemicals project, Kaduna where he was actively involved in the Construction and commissioning of the Plants. Between April, 1988 and December 1991, Engr, Ejuoneatse was Superintendent Stock Management / Procurement at the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemicals Company Limited, Kaduna. In January 1992, he was transferred to NNPC London Office as officer-in-charge of Procurement Support /Studies.
The new NETCO MD was Manager, Materials Management Department, Port Harcourt Refinery Company Limited (PHRC) in June 1997, he left PHRC in May 2004 on being promoted General Manager, Group Materials Management Department, Corporate Headquarters, responsible for formulation of corporate wide materials management policies and procedures and regulation of materials management practices in all strategic business units in the Corporation.
In February 2007, Engr. Ejuoneatse was transferred to NAPIMS as General Manager, Materials Management Division until February 2008 when he returned to NNPC Corporate Headquarters, Abuja. He was on this position until recently when he was appointed the Managing Director NETCO.
Engr. Ejuoneatse has attended several local and overseas management courses in Maintenance, Project Management, Materials Management, Petroleum Project Economics and Risk Management.
Engr. Ejuoneatse is a registered Mechanical COREN and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
He is widely traveled, enjoys playing Golf, Table Tennis and Swimming. He is happily married with children.
