The Management of NNPC recently announced the appointment of Engr. Kenneth Ejuoneatse as the Managing Director of NETCO. He thus becomes the 8th Managing Director of this NNPC subsidiary which was established in February 1989.

Engr. Ejuoneatse attended James Welch Grammar School, Emevor via Ughelli, Delta State between 1965 and 1969 before proceeding to University of Benin in 1970. He is a 1975 graduate of Mechanical Engineering.

The new NETCO Managing Director started his career as a pupil engineer with Benue / Plateau State Government during his National Youth Service Corp and at the end of the service year; he was employed at the then Warri Refinery project in October 1976.

He received intensive technical training services with Snamprogetti (ENI) Milan and IROM Refinery at Mistre Venice, Italy. On his return he worked as maintenance engineer at Warri Refinery.

In September 1981, Engr. Ejuoneatse was part of the Owners project Team at Engineering Contractor, Lummus Combustion Engineering, Home Office in the United States of America and United Kingdom for the NNPC Petrochemicals Phase 1 project. Between October 1985 and March 1988, he returned to Nigeria during the construction of Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) and Benzene plants Phase 1 Petrochemicals project, Kaduna where he was actively involved in the Construction and commissioning of the Plants. Between April, 1988 and December 1991, Engr, Ejuoneatse was Superintendent Stock Management / Procurement at the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemicals Company Limited, Kaduna. In January 1992, he was transferred to NNPC London Office as officer-in-charge of Procurement Support /Studies.

The new NETCO MD was Manager, Materials Management Department, Port Harcourt Refinery Company Limited (PHRC) in June 1997, he left PHRC in May 2004 on being promoted General Manager, Group Materials Management Department, Corporate Headquarters, responsible for formulation of corporate wide materials management policies and procedures and regulation of materials management practices in all strategic business units in the Corporation.

In February 2007, Engr. Ejuoneatse was transferred to NAPIMS as General Manager, Materials Management Division until February 2008 when he returned to NNPC Corporate Headquarters, Abuja. He was on this position until recently when he was appointed the Managing Director NETCO.

Engr. Ejuoneatse has attended several local and overseas management courses in Maintenance, Project Management, Materials Management, Petroleum Project Economics and Risk Management.

Engr. Ejuoneatse is a registered Mechanical COREN and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

He is widely traveled, enjoys playing Golf, Table Tennis and Swimming. He is happily married with children.

Engr. Samuel Babatunde was born on 20th October 1954. He is a 1978 graduate of Chemical Engineering from the University of Ife, Osun State. He is also a registered member of Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and Nigeria Gas Association (NGA) amongst many other professional affiliations.

Engr. Babatunde joined NNPC after an intensive training in Advance Refinery Operations by the COMERINT firm of Italy at Warri Refinery in 1979.

In 1980, he was appointed as a Commissioning Engineer on the NNPC project team for the Kaduna Refinery; Process Engineer on the Owner’s Project Management Team for the realization of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Portharcourt Refinery between 1985 and 1989. He became the Head Business Development before he was seconded to NLNG in 1997.

From 1997, Engr. Samuel Babatunde was transferred to NLNG as Project Engineer on Construction of Base Project Trains. He worked with Shell Global Solutions International in the Hague as the Technical Adviser on NLNG Plants and rose steadily to become the Managing Project Interface Coordinator of activities on NLNG Trains 1 to 5 and developed the (6th Train’s Concept).

He was transferred from NLNG in 2006 to NNPC Corporate Headquarters as General Manager to start the Development of 200kbd Greenfield Petroleum Refineries. He was on this position until his recent redeployment to NETCO as Executive Director Operations.

Engr. Samuel Babatunde has attended several cognate Management courses and seminars both local and overseas in Strategic Planning Methodology, Fundamentals of Accounting & Project Evaluation and Petroleum Economics course by IFP of France amongst several others.

He is widely traveled and enjoys playing table tennis, volleyball and reading Christian journals. He is happily married with children.

Mr. Ishaya Bamayi Timothy was born on 18th November 1954 in Kaduna, Kaduna State. He attended Government College Kaduna between 1967 and 1971 before proceeding to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in 1973. He graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology.

Mr. Timothy started his career in NNPC as an Assistant Chief Personnel Officer in January 1987 at the Petrochemicals Company (LAB PLANT), Kaduna as Officer – in Charge of Personnel Matters. Following the merger of LAB Plant and the Kaduna Refinery to give birth to the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemicals Company (KRPC) in 1988, Mr. Timothy occupied the position of O / C Staff Matters. Between 1991 and 1999, he rose to the position Chief Personnel Officer covering the offices of O / C Personnel Services and Head Administration and Personnel in KRPC.

In December 1998, Mr. I. B. Timothy was transferred to Corporate HR, Lagos to cover the position of Deputy Manager, Compensation. In January 2000, Mr. I. B. Timothy was promoted substantive Deputy Manager Compensation, Group HR, Corporate Headquarters, Abuja where he also covered the position of Manager Personnel Information and Compensation before he was promoted to substantive Manager in January, 2004.

He was appointed General Manager, Human Resources, Corporate Headquarters in December 2006 and was recently redeployed to NETCO as Executive Director Services, effective 23rd July 2009.

Mr. Timothy has undergone several Management courses both local and overseas in Human Resource Management, Port Security and Safety Management Seminar, Strategic Human Resources Management, Talent Management Seminar and Business Entrepreneurial Skill Management among others.

He is well traveled and enjoys watching football and playing squash. He is happily married with children.
